Today Evan, Brett and I met Aunt Pat and Zeus at the beach and had a blast. We threw a tennis ball for Zeus and just ran around and had tons of fun. It's really a shame when you live so close to the ocean and never visit. In the last year I have probably gone to the beach 3 times. I would like to make it my goal to go to the beach at least once a week with Evan.
Pictures will follow shortly.
So it took a while but here are the pictures from the beach.

I'm Official
After a year of living in Maine, I finally got a Maine drivers license. Why wait so long? I don't know really. Too lazy I guess to drive to Kennebunk and go to the DMV. I should receive my new license in several days. Hooray!

Foreign Films
I love to watch foreign films- especially foreign horror films. If they have subtitles or if they are dubbed in English that's fine with me. Kari and I watched a film called The Orphanage by Guillermo Del Toro. He also directed Pans Labyrinth. When we put the film on we did not know it was in Spanish and had subtitles. That was an extra bonus. Now here is the question I would like to put to you: When you are watching a film with subtitles do you still find yourself telling people to be quite, that you can't hear what is going on? This totally happened to us. Even though we could see what was being said and that even if we could hear what they were saying we wouldn't be able to understand what they were saying because the movie was in SPANISH! Kari and I discussed this and decided that even though the film has subtitles you still need to be able to hear the film. You need to be able to hear the music which can be a cue that something is about to happen and all the scary noises that naturally occur in a horror film.
P.S.
This is a great movie. It is not all blood and guts like a lot of horror films. Actually, I think the only blood in the movie is when Laura (the mother) accidentally smashes her finger in a door.
$2
Last week I went to the bank to get a money order for $2. No that is not a typo, that is two dollars. I went up to the counter and this is what was said.
Me: "I would like to get a money order."
Her: "OK. For what amount?"
Me: "$2 "
Silence
Her: "Do you have an account with us?"
Me: "Yes"
Her: "Do they usually charge you when you get a money order?"
Me: " I don't think so. It's been a while since I have gotten one."
I think to myself, why are you asking me? You work here. Shouldn't you know?!
Her: "Well, I think we have a $3 charge for all money orders."
I checked online and there is no fee for money orders if you have an account at the bank
Her: "Can you pay online?"
I had explained to her why I needed the money order
Me: "I prefer to do a money order."
Her: " Well, I guess I can waive the $3 fee."
Me: "Thanks"
