I have been working on the front line of the hotel industry for over a year now, and I would like to impart some advice of things to not do and or say.
PART 1 - Things not to say*:
1."Are you Asian?"
"Why no,I am not."
"Oh, I thought you were because you have dimples."
2. "Is your hot tub heated?"
3. "That (smoking) room smells like smoke"
4. "Do you know what beige means?"
5. "My husband just went to the bathroom and now the toilet smells like urine."

Isn't it amazing how completely dense some people can be? Once I called Todd on my cell, and as he was describing an idiot redneck (I say that lovingly!) who had been in the store, I informed him that the really scary part is after they leave the store, they're OUT ON THE STREETS DRIVING. One of our favorite stove quotes is, "Is that a real fire?" Yes, and it will really burn you. Let's try it out!!
